America's Army is a realistic Fist Person Tactic Shooter, developed by the US Army primarily as a recruiting tool. AA focusses on team based online action: Teamwork, leadership and the benefits of training are more emphasized than in other similar titles. America's Army Special Forces runs on Epic Games Unreal 2.5 engine and is scheduled to be ported to the Unreal 3.0 engine later in 2005.
Probably the most striking thing about AA is the fact, that the army gives away the game for free. As the player you get a sophisticated FPS which emphasizes realism over action, which keeps evolving as updated versions and patches are released.
